Cystaid for cats pack of 30
Cystaid for cats is a nutritional supplement that provides specially blended feed nutrients for the management of lower urinary tract function in cats to help maintain a healthy bladder.
Following recent technical advances and new emerging research,
Cystaid has been reformulated to be more effective and is now named CYSTAID® Cystaid for cats contains molecules that supplement the bladder’s muco-polysaccharid GAG chains.
These chains form a protective mucin layer for the umbrella mucosal cells, preventing epithelial contact with the irritant urinary toxins and pathogens.
The capsules can be opened and sprinkled onto food or given whole. Cystaid for Cats helps: Replace and maintain a healthy GAG bladder mucosal mucin layer Stimulates increased GAG production by mucosal cells Decreases bladder wall permeability thus reducing bladder wall inflammation.
In addition to using Cystaid, we also suggest you increase your cat’s water consumption by changing to moist diet, improving the number and site of litter trays and reducing the stress levels.
Please use strictly as directed by your veterinarian and if symptoms persist or your pet suffers any adverse effects, contact your vet immediately
CYSTAID PLUS ®
The understanding of the causes of Idiopathic Cystitis in cats is still in its infancy. However in many cats it seems the breakdown of the GAG layer plays a significant role. As some cats have a pre-disposed inability to facilitate the synthesis of N Acetyl D Glucosamine (NAG) from Glucosamine, supplementation with NAG may help.
The importance of the protective Glycosaminoglycan (GAG) layer lining the cats bladder is well recognised. However, some cats have a pre-disposed inability to produce the critical N. Acetyl D. Glucosamine which is a precursor for GAGs.
Cystaid is a feed supplement that provides N. Acetyl D. Glucosamine in a convenient, easy to administer capsule.
Ingredients: N. Acetyl D. Glucosamine 99%, 125 mg
Quercetin - Has been shown to regulate inflammation and help to support stress coping mechanisms.

Also has been shown to reduce stress behaviours in cats.
Dose: First ocurrence give 2 capsules daily, for recurrent cases give 1 capsule daily
Cystaid Plus is presented in capsules and can be used for short or long term support.
